Audits

In accordance with the contractual agreement between the ASEKOL Compliance Scheme and registered producers, audit inspections of producers incorporated in the ASEKOL Compliance Scheme are performed to verify the accuracy and completeness of information provided about the amount of electrical and electronic equipment reported in statements and to verify compliance with other obligations resulting from the contract.

The auditing companies are bound by law and by the contract concluded with the ASEKOL Compliance to maintain the secrecy and complete confidential treatment of the information they obtain during auditing. The auditors provide to the ASEKOL Compliance Scheme only a summary report on the performance of the audit, including any discrepancies discovered in reported amounts with quantification of financial differences and deficiencies relating to other obligations, such as the obligation to inform consumers.
