October 13th – International eWaste Day
12. 10. 2018
Every year, only 20% of the generated electrical waste is recycled in the world, whereas up to 80 percent of the material can be recycled from each electric appliance. Producer responsibility organisation ASEKOL SK invites you to the International eWaste Day with the main mission to promote recycling and to educate the general public on the correct handling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
On October 13, 2018 from 10:00 to 21:00, the Bory Mall in Bratislava will host an array of competitions and games aimed at sorting and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. The kids will have the opportunity to play fun knowledge games and adult visitors will be able to join discussion and interviews with experts on the importance of sorting and recycling waste. Every visitor can expect a reward for his or her interest and support of this important mission.
International WEEE Day has been proclaimed by WEEE Forum – an international association of systems providing for the collection of electronic and electrical waste. This initiative was joined by 21 countries including the Slovak Republic. Producer responsibility organisation ASEKOL SK is the only Slovak member of the WEEE Forum.
